I am an Instaler Company

CO2 Framed

SMEs/installers: farmers rely on specialized agronomic, engineering and construction companies to provide them with technical solutions and services related to their irrigation and energy systems. These companies are mainly local SMEs that have developed a close relationship of trust and understanding over the years with the farmers. This proximity allows them to provide their services efficiently which is essential for fast response in case of operational failures, but also limits their market and growth capacity, so they tend to be laggards in adopting new technology. As a result, there are inertias in sticking to incumbent solutions such as diesel generators in order to provide energy for the irrigation systems, even if new solutions such as PVI are more cost-efficient.

Furthermore, these SMEs lack the know-how and experience in order to provide reliable and affordable PVI to the farmers. In order to develop PVI market to its full potential CO2-FrAMed needs the existence of a network of locally-based reliable suppliers. Also, CO2-FrAMed’s business model, based on Procurement and commercialisation of PV electricity through a pool of contracts under the Renewable Power Purchase Agreements model (PPA), require trained local SMEs to install and maintain a pool of PVIs.
